HUMBOLDT – A West Bend teen has died in a rollover accident in Humboldt County.

Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger identified the teen as Hunter Origer, 17, of West Bend.

According to Kruger, the preliminary investigation indicates that around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Origer was northbound on Humboldt County Road P19 and was entering a curve from the west.

His vehicle went off-road, went into the ditch and rolled.

Origer was ejected from the vehicle.

He was taken to Kossuth Regional Medical Center in Algona, where he later died from his injuries.

Kruger said the accident is still under investigation.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, Gilmore City Ambulance, West Bend Ambulance, West Bend Fire Department, Iowa State Patrol and Algona EMS all responded to the scene.
