Robber hits Casey’s in FD
Suspect still at large
A convenience store in southern Fort Dodge was robbed late Saturday night, according to police.
No one was injured in the holdup. No arrests have been made yet.
The robbery occurred at Casey’s General Store, 1133 S. 22nd St., at about 11:11 p.m.
A man wearing a dark ski mask came in to the store and gave the cashier a note demanding money, according to police reports. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran out of the store and headed south.
Law enforcement officers searched the surrounding area, but were unable to find the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white man standing between 5 feet, 9 inches and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark ski mask that covered his face, a blue Iowa State sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark colored shoes.

Saturday night’s heist was the second time in a week that a Casey’s General Store in Fort Dodge was robbed. At 5:15 a.m. May 14 the store at 1230 Third Ave. N.W. was robbed. A man went into that store with a dark cloth covering the lower half of his face and handed the cashier a note demanding money.
Jason Onderdonck, 36, of Fort Dodge, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree robbery in connection with that incident.
