Heritage Hunters to meet in W.C.

June 28, 2009

WEBSTER CITY —The Hamilton Heritage Hunters Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Kendall Young Library. The program this month will be “If This Trunk Could Talk,” presented by Don Black of Newton. Black will share some of the letters, pictures, Bibles and Civil War artifacts that came from his family. Members of Hamilton Heritage Hunters are welcome to meet and have dinner with Black at 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Shanghai Buffet before attending the meeting. Anyone interested in researching his or her family history is welcome to attend.

Young Library to host Wilder programs

Kendall Young Library has received funding from Humanities Iowa, a private non-profit state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, to host two programs on Laura Ingalls Wilder on Tuesda.

Webster County Fair to host Vet Camp

June 28, 2009

The Iowa Veterinary Medical Association will conduct a “Veterinary Camp” on July 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Webster County Fairgrounds in Fort Dodge.

The camp is focused on educating students between the ages of 12 and 17.
