Warrior cheerleaders are state champions
For the first time in Prairie Valley history the Warrior Cheerleaders claimed first-place honors at the Iowa State Cheerleading Competition on Nov. 7 at Veterans Auditorium in Des Moines. The Warrior cheerleaders placed first out of 12 teams in the small team division. They also placed third and seventh in the stunt group division against 14 teams. They received a bid to perform at the Boys State Basketball tournament this winter. Not all teams in Iowa receive bids. Members of the competition squad are from left to right.
