True, soundco, but King didn't write the rules of the political game in DC. Just look at the unrelated giveaways in the Hurricane Sandy disaster relief bill that Speaker Boehner is being blamed for delaying as it he trys to clean up, and by no less than that "give us ours" Republican NJ Gov., Christie & the NJ and NY delegations! Until Washington ceases to be a piggy bank for every special interest in the US, Iowa's reps in Congress have little choice but to get Iowa's FAIR(? - Obama's term, not mine)) share. King didn't push the farm bill to a vote as a stand alone bill because it would not have passed; some log rolling will be needed as the ag state reps are failing to hang together and are gradually losing their clout. Sad, but its the way the game is played.

Hey there. Stop the tractor. You are disagreeing with me because . . . why? You think I did not email Mr. King asking his opinion? I'm was serious. I really wanted to know his position. Lighten up. Are people really that blind crazy that we can't have a discussion?

King: one of the few in Congress with common sense - perhaps because he is not a lawyer?

The ag bill has been sitting on his desk since mid-summer. You may think he is a friend to farmers, but please do your research. Once he gets to Washington, he seems to forget who he is representing.
