Worse than expected: they slit another artery, $41 in increased federal federal taxes for ever $1 cut in expenditures. God bless Tom and Steve for voting "no".

A Band-Aid on a severed artery! The federal govt is hemorrhaging BORROWED funds on things we do not need and that are not a federal govt responsibility in the first place. It needs no more money, just frugality; Keynesian economics merely delays and then exacerbates normal economic cycles. Thus the US economy overtook all others in spite of periodic crises in its first 125 years only to squander it in the next 125, by which time we will be reduced to the penury of a 3rd World nation. Great legacy for our grandchildren!!! Let states and communities do the things they have done better and more efficiently in the past & pare the federal govt & bureaucracy, e.g. eliminate Depts of Educ. & Energy, neither of which improved anything but caused incomparable harm. Programs designed and tested at state level are ruinous & counter-productive in larger settings (See AFDC). Unleash pvt industry and prosper/socialize and fail.

Their first concern should be that they have not been doing the peoples work and just following their party hardliners. We pay them to represent "The People" not their party. We would not be where were at if they and others would worked for the people. Why pay all these people if they only use one brain. About six people are doing most of the negotiating on the budget. Fire the rest and that alone would fix most of our problems. All these people seem to care about is their next election and having people kiss their a s s because they think their so important with the power they have over their peons (us).
