Freezing rain covered Fort Dodge for much of Sunday morning and into the afternoon, creating bad conditions for those who couldn’t stay home....

Those same streets were not yet sanded until just half an hour ago and It's Monday now. One person slid out of control and down F Ave trying to bring her child to day care. Are they saying they are short of sanding trucks now that the one crashed. I've never seen them not stay ahead of the ice in this neighborhood. This is a first in many many years. I was totally surprised the streets were let go as long as they were this time when there was plenty of warning about what we were in for. People had to go to work this morning even if they were able to stay home yesterday. I really wonder why these streets up here were not done after yesterday moroning when this person slid into the tree on the curve....doesn't make any sense to me unless there is a shortage of sanding trucks now.
