How can anyone take King seriously? All he does is advocate hate and do everything he can to stir up fear in the uninformed.

I have talked with him several times and what you just said is garbage. King is roulgh around the edges but has solid views on things like immigration, economic development and fiscal responsibility. This will not sit well with some, but requiring minorities to live by the same rules is not hate...it is fair.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who opposes the balance budget amendment. There is absolutely no reason not to have it in place.

The federal budget is different than our family budgets. The fed govt must be able to respond to wars, depressions/recessions, disasters, etc. Debt is sometimes essential to accomplish the goals of government. Is it out of control? Sure seems that way but according to those who understand these things on a level most of us don't we are on a track that is substantially reducing the debt. It would be counterproductive to hamstring the govt. Even King admits that there would have to be exceptions to an amendment.
