Just get rid of the dams.

What is to study? The****is there, does it or does it not retain enough water to use? If so, you install a pumping station. If not, the****has no use and removing it saves money on maintaining it. A waterway around it? Doesn't that defeat what a****does as water takes the path of least resistance and would flow around the dam. Wouldn't you need a lock type system to raise and lower water traffic going in both directions? How would they raise money for that? A toll passage?

I am sure someone here has been keeping track of the cost of all the past studies? What have they all added up to and how does it compare to the cost to just removing the thing?

I think there is need for another study on how many studies have been done on this , I guess some just don't understand , but that's good old Fort Dodge for ya.

I can see the headline, "After 2 million dollars worth of studies, it was decided it would only cost $900,000 to remove the D.A.M."...at a cost of 2 million, nine hundred thousand dollars to tax payers.
