"Porter said county employees may smoke in their personal vehicles, even in restricted parking lots, as long as the windows and doors of the vehicle are closed..."---would not that subject the employee to a concentrated smoke environment? What happens when he/she opens the door to get out? It is outdoors people! Where the one next to a smoker has the lowest smoke exposure. Including the smoker. You want a Cheech and Chong smoking environment going on in a closed vehicle? Even smokers are smart enough to open a window, I know because I is one. :)

I have to wonder who ever wrote this article "read it". This is the stupidest thing I've read yet. It's outside air for crimps sakes. It's just plain idiotic how far they have carried this "no smoking" charade. I myself am an x smoker, but to dictate where someone can smoke outside is just plain "STUPID"!

way to go amy!! waste some more of the tax payer's money on useless policy changes and senseless acts. maybe think about encouraging county employees to curb & eventually quit smoking and concentrate on a wellness program to benefit all employees and create a healthier workplace for all. something you seriously forgot to do at your last place of employment.
