March 9, 2013

When someone is in an abusive relationship, or is threatened with violence by another person, prosecutors have a tool to help protect victims. It’s called a no-contact order....

Unfortunately, even the abused sometimes, don't know how the abuser will react. It's dr. jekyll/mr. hyde scenarios. They can be nice and begging for forgivess and tell them they will never do it again and the victim believes it. Weapons aren't an answer to teaching us not to abuse another human being. Do I believe that they should be used in self defense? Absolutely.

A lot of men get no-contact orders against spouses and girl friends. So boys get the big cannon and be prepared to just blow them away if they come near you. Sounds like that is the game plan according to these posts. It should work both ways. But remember the golden rule in this state - if you shoot them make sure you drag them into your house or your probably going to go to prison for a few years and I don't think they have no contact orders in prison.

Women are able to protect themselves, please do not rely on law enforcement. Protect yourselves! A 380 handgun is just going to **** someone off, IMO, you need a bigge gun than that for protection. Most women can handle a 9mm very well.

I agree, I was basically saying protect yourselves. I personally carry a 9mm and am very comfortable with it. With lots of practice and a CCW permit, is woman ate able to protect themselves. Please do not relie on law enforcement to protect you, they cannot be everywhere. Take charge and protect yourselves and your family.

Most women would be overwhelmed with a gun as big as a 45, get something small enough to carry in your pockets so no children can get them and keep it on you at all times, especially while in fear for your live. Target shot and be legal with a permit to carry. Know your weapon and don't carry one that's so big you are uncomfortable with it, if it's not easily carried and concealed you won't be prepared. You won't keep it close enough to protect you upon a sudden appearance of said jerkwad. Have the restraining order and make the officers do a report of your fears, as soon as you become afraid of someone. Be smart, survive.

You will not know if a guy is going to break a contact order or your neck until it's broken. Make sure you are deadly and skillful enough to protect yourself. If someone is crazy enough that you have to ask police for help to protect yourself, they should at least lock the offensive one up for a month in Cherokee for mental evaluations to see if that person is safe enough to be in contact with anyone in society.

My question is why was the order lifted last year when the guy had violated parole so many times before? Our judicial system totally let Jolene Crawford down.

Wouldn't it be great if a court would issue a No-Contact order that would keep the career politicians and other leeches from pushing their nutty schemes onto the American public. Might even keep telephone solicitors from calling 10 times a day. Hmmmmmm.

I see that no contact order worked well for Jolene Crawford. A 45 bullet would have kept him from coming back. People need to protect themselves because a piece of pape is not going to work.

no contact orders are just a piece of paper what should be done is the aggresor should be required to wear an ankle monitor,& if he gets so close to the victim's home an alarm will alert police at the l.e.c. i bet all, to almost all women who've been killed by their spouce, ex spouce, partner or ex partner have had no contact orders in place, but the perpitrater knows they have the order,& it makes them angry so when they confront their victim they're fearful of their victim calling the police on them so they stop it from happening by killing them. psychotic people out there!!!
