He says he read the healthcare act "to the point of revulsion"... interesting choice of words, since he started out as a revolting hateful weasel.

We do NOT need another "Tea-Party" member. This man is part of the problem in Washington not part of the solution.

Maybe King is trying to find enough Homophobic, racist,anti-women supporters to bankroll his run for the Senate. Duh

"attempt to be bipartisan". This guy is a joke. He would not support anything Obama even if Obama parted the Red sea. He is so self centered it is disgusting. He talks about wasteful spending and still is on the goverment payroll, what a waste of taxpayer money.

How King got re-elected is beyond me. I thought our part of Iowa could have voted him out. *shakes head* I hope he doesn't run for Senate...we don't need another tea party lackey in the Senate!

None of you below ever perused Harry Reid's or Nancy Pelosi's record re legislative cooperation in DC - or Obama's in IL? It was their and Obama's "our-way-or-the-highway" approach to the so-called Affordable Care Act (ACA) that capped a long-term trend toward partisan confrontation in Congress over 80 years of collectivist pursuit of equal economic results in lieu of equal economic opportunity. Even Philadelphia lawyers have been unable to comprehend the ACA once, as Pelosi put it, it was passed so they, King and other members of Congress could "learn what's in it." Any wonder Obama's bureaucrats have missed deadline after deadline in their nearly hopeless task of implementing ACA? Or that a plain-spoken, un-lawyerly businessman like King has been unable to digest it (let alone thousands upon thousands of pages of subsequent regs)? None of my several doctors have, either; just new billing codes have jumped from some 3,500 to 140,000+!

Sorry George...Besides the Homophobic, racist, anti-women slugs there are the few myopic true believers that will always support the GOP of OLD.....

King is still the kind of person who CREATES deadlock-not the solution to it. If he replaces Harkin, that won't be any sort of true political balance in the state Senators. You would just be telling the world that Iowa is even further behind the rest of the world than it is already teased for being. It'll be a good day when King decides to just hang-up his political aspirations and goes back to be a klan leader or something.

MZ/FDTrooper: Lame non sequiturs, as usual. Do you ever have something substantive to offer, maybe challenging the do-nothing Democrat Senate that Harry Reid is loathe to have record votes of the few centrist Democrats upon whose problematical re-election Reid (and Obama) is depending to keep dynamic Harry in his job as Majority Leader after the three of them created the Tea Party revolt that cost Pelosi her Speakership and Obama, her and Reid their short-lived absolute control of the entire US Govt. Meanwhile, it's all politics all the time until the 2014 congressional election. Sad, indeed!

"and added that it has gotten worse since he was elected in 2002"

Anyone see the correlation?
