They laud airport, Great Lakes

April 16, 2013

To the editor: We were returning from San Jose, Calif., on April 1. We had landed in Minneapolis and were anticipating a Great Lakes flight from Minneapolis to Fort Dodge at 10:30 p.m. that evening....

Just flew someone from Denver to Fort Dodge roundtrip for $284.00 via Delta Resv. Great Price. What was most interesting that the information printed with the ticket showed the best places in Fort Dodge to visit as a museum in Humboldt and the dirt track at the gypsum mines. Can't Wait!!!!

This is a sign of a True American Airline. I will fly them any time I can. This is Service, which is sadly missing from almost every company in The USA anymore.I give them 5 Stars! Glenn Markley

For what we now pay for a ticket in and out of Fort Dodge, they should fly us right to our front door.

I have to admit that is GREAT that the airline did this for you. Above and beyond the call of duty. However comparing Great Lakes Airline to Southwest is like comparing apples to oranges. 10:30 pm in my opinion is not in the "middle of the night", but kudos for opening up the airport.

For any airline to provide service like this is totally unheard of, especially in today's world. Can you imagine Delta or Southwest doing something like this simply as a goodwill gesture? WOW. I am in awe of this airline. This sounds like an advertisement, but I have no connection with this or any other airline.
