As every body who is on meds know that it can get pretty expensive. At my husbands work insurance you have to buy a 3 month supply. And if it turns out that this drug doesn't work for you or you have side effects and can't take them or you no longer need to take them. so you are still stuck will all these Meds. (Some being quit pricey). WHAT A WASTE. Over the corse of time I have accumulated quit a stock pile of pills. Some I was able to go back and use again. My questions is WHY can't we take the unopened, non expiring drugs some place where they can be dispensed to those who can't afford it? Or back to the Doctors office to give to patience as a trial to see if that is what will work for them? Or even ship them to 3rd world countries that are in die or need for medication. And I learned that most meds are useful way beyond there expiration date. This is such a wasteful county it breaks my heart. The phamisuticals are making a fortune and it is just not right.

I haven't given mine to anybody. But I think I would if they took the exact same thing. It should be a crime to waste them. Besides the drugs I take I don't think they make a good street drug.

I have had my prescriptions changed an I always try to find out if any of my friends take my discontinued medicine. If they do and have a prescription for it I give it to them. It is just a waste to throw away good medicine when others can use it. It may be against the law but the law is stupid when it lets good medicine go to waste. These pills and medicines are way overpriced and I refuse to flush money or good medicine down the toilet. I have turned medicine back to Hyvee when nobody else had a prescription for it.(still a waste because they have to dispose of it)
