Northwestern releases dean's list

ORANGE CITY - Carson Norine, of Fort Dodge, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2008 semester at Northwestern College.

To be eligible, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours.

DeLucca named to DePaul dean's list

CHICAGO - DePaul University student Gina DeLucca, of Fort Dodge, has been named to the dean's list for the 2008 autumn quarter. To receive dean's list commendation, full-time students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above on a four-point scale.

Serving more than 23,000 students, DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the country.

FD Choral Society offers scholarships

The Fort Dodge Choral Society will be awarding $500 music scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year. Applicants must be undergraduate college students majoring in vocal music performance or education with at least a sophomore status by the award year. Applicants can either be attending an Iowa college or university or be a graduate of the Fort Dodge area attending any college or university. Previous recipients are eligible to apply, however scholarships will be awarded no more than two times to any one individual.

Applications are available at www.fdchoralsociety.org, through e-mail to dunsdon@frontiernet.net, or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Scholarship Committee, 438 N. 19th St., Fort Dodge, IA 50501. Applications and supporting materials must be postmarked, e-mailed, or hand delivered to the committee address by April 15.

CWL to host soup supper Tuesday

CORWITH - The Corwith Wesley-Lu Verne High School seniors will hold a soup supper from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the high school Commons. Vegeteable beef, chili, broccoli cheese, and chicken noodle soups, rolls and bars will be served. A free will donation will be accepted. All proceeds go towards the 2009 senior class trip.

Morningside College releases dean's list

SIOUX CITY - Jeremy Bauer, of Lake City, and Cassie Main, of Rockwell City, were named to the dean's honor list at Morningside College for the 2008 fall semester.

To be eligible for the dean's honor list, students need to achieve a 3.67 grade point average or higher and complete at least 12 credits of course work with no grade below a "C-."

Abrams named to Palmer dean's list

DAVENPORT - Christian Abrams, of Fort Dodge, a student in the doctor of chiropractic program at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, has been named to the dean's list for the second trimester.

To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.50 in all studies for the respective term.

Missouri State releases dean's list

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Emily K. Fletcher, of Fort Dodge, was named to the Fall 2008 dean's list at Missouri State University.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours and at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
