"A Christmas with Sonshine," the annual Christmas concert for The Sonshine Singers, will be 7 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St.

There is no admission charge, but a freewill offering will be accepted. Proceeds will be divided among the Lord's Cupboard, the Food Pantry and Beacon of Hope men's homeless shelter.

An interdenominational group of vocalists from Fort Dodge and around the state, The Sonshine Singers have had requests to make a CD featuring the "old, traditional" Christmas carols, and this year they honored that request. Carols like "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," "We Three Kings," "Go Tell It On the Mountain" and other favorites will be sung, concluding with the "Silent Night."

The concert will be taped, and CDs made available to the public.

Interspersed within the musical ministry, there will once again be a congregational sing-aIong.

For this Christmas ministry, the Sonshine Singers will be accompanied by Janece Valentine and Kristen Utley.

Additional instrumentalists are percussionists Craig Johnson and Kevin Thompson,
