The Fort Dodge Knights of Columbus Council 613 donated $5,872.77 to the LifeWorks Community Services. The money was the proceeds from the council’s annual fundraising “Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities,” commonly nicknamed as the “Tootsie Roll Drive.” The campaign is one of the most popular and successful programs conducted by the Knights of Columbus, in which members collect donations from businesses and patrons and in appreciation the donor is offered a Tootsie Roll.
Life Works Community Services, based in Fort Dodge, offers residential, vocational and community support services to individuals with mental, physical or developmental disabilities.
