The Fort Dodge Community Recreation Center sponsored a “Bike for a Cure” community fundraiser on March 20 at the Crossroads Mall. Local businesses and personal sponsors supported the fight to “create a world with more birthdays and less cancer” by pledging dollars towards the time that the cyclists peddled their spin exercise bikes during the fun, music-filled event.
They raised $1,152 for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Webster County that will be held on June 24. For more information or to register as a Relay team log onto: www.fortdodge.org/webstercountyia.
