The Return of Hot Dog Madness will be offered from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on May 1 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1001 First Ave. S., sponsored by the Martin Luther King Committee.
All sorts of hot dogs along with chips, baked beans and drinks will be available for a freewill offering.
Money raised will go to the Martin Luther King Committee Development Fund and Forgivable Student Loan Fund.
The Development Fund helps existing minority businesses and assists minorities who want to start a business, with an aim to create an entrepreneurial atmosphere for Fort Dodge minorities.
Forgivable Student Loans offers a loan to minority education in Fort Dodge. If they stay in the community for a period of time after graduation, their loan is forgiven. The goal is to keep professional and highly skilled people of color in Fort Dodge.
Anyone wishing to help with Hot Dog Madness may contact the Rev. Bill Kerns at 570-1762.
