Hockemeier benefit set

OGDEN - A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will start at 5 p.m. Friday night at the Leonard Good Community Center in Ogden to benefit the Corey and Annette Hockemeier family.

Pinned in his semi for more than two hours after a March 22 accident near Lidderdale, Corey Hockemeier was extricated and taken by helicopter to the Iowa Methodist Trauma Center in Des Moines. He has debilitating injuries and faces a long rehabilitation, leaving him unable to work.

A silent auction, live auction and dessert auction will be part of the fundraiser. The silent auction ends at 7:30 p.m., when the live auction begins.

The dinner is all-you-can-eat, and a freewill offering will be accepted. The community center is at 114 S.W. Eighth St., Ogden.

Financial contributions may be made to the Corey Hockemeier Fund, in care of Community State Bank, Box 217, Paton, IA 50217.

All proceeds from this benefit will go to the family. the couple has three daughters - Hannah, 14; Evelyn, 3; and Whitney, 1.
