Friends of St. Edmond Ball nets $230,000

The 28th annual Friends of Saint Edmond Ball was held on May 8 at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn and Suites. The evening included a live and silent auction, a “Heads or Tails” contest and the music of area standout performers Vic Ferrari. The event garnered $230,000 for the St. Edmond schools.
Winner of the grand prize of choice of a 2011 automobile from one of the four local dealers was Bob Brungardt, of Fort Dodge. Second prize of $2,000 of flooring went to Ali Arnold, also of Fort Dodge. Tom Stark, of Ames, won of $1,000 of groceries at Hy-Vee, the third prize, and local resident Nate Gibson won fourth prize, $1,000 in cash. Winners of the two tuition raffle prizes of $1,000 in tuition each were Michelle Lee and John Howard.
