Fort Dodge Head Start families from 11 classrooms donated items as part of a community service project and supplied mailing addresses for friends or family serving in the military overseas. Eight boxes of items were collected to be sent to three soldiers in Afghanistan. Colton Hurtado and his mom, Dawn Erhardt, are shown with the boxes. She helped staff prepare the boxes for mailing and Colton helped with the trip to the post office.
