EMMETSBURG - Two Emmetsburg facilities, owned and operated by Hampton-based ABCM Corp., have received top marks.
Emerald Oaks Independent and Assisted Living, 2603 17th St., received a violation-free survey, according to a report completed by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals.
This is the third survey since Emerald Oaks opened its door, and the third year it has received a violation-free survey.
ABCM's Emmetsburg Care Center is among the top-rated nursing homes, according to U.S. News and World Report.
The facility received five out of five stars as an overall performance rating. The U.S. News rankings rely on data from Nursing Home Compare, a consumer website run by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Of the 441 certified facilities in Iowa, 76 or 17 percent are recognized as the best in the state. Emmetsburg Care Center was one of those home recognized and is one of nine of the homes owned and operated by ABCM Corp.
