Marlene M. Johnson, principal of Cooper Elementary School, in Fort Dodge, earned her doctorate of education degree from the University of South Dakota during graduation ceremonies on May 7 in Vermillion, S.D.
Johnson also holds a master's degree in special education from Morningside College in Sioux City, a sixth-year degree in K-12 administration and a specialist degree in K-12 administration from the University of Minnesota, Mankato, Minn.
Johnson and her husband Bob live in Fort Dodge.
