Doug Sorenson is one of the recipients of the July 2011 Fort Dodge Correctional Facility Employee Spotlight Award.
This monthly award was established to recognize individuals who have performed outstanding work, demonstrated a commitment to a team atmosphere, participated in a major accomplishment, or are/were involved in a project or event in the operation of the facility or in the community.
Sorenson began his career with the Department of Corrections at FDCF on Feb. 5, 1993, as a correctional officer at North Central Correctional Facility in Rockwell City. He transferred to FDCF as a correctional officer on Feb. 6, 1998.
