Quilt entry deadline near

SAC CITY - The 2011 Sac County Quilt-a-Fair quilt show organizers plan to display around 300 quilts in the 4-H and open class buildings on the Sac County Fairgrounds, Sept. 24 and 25. Quilts must be registered by Monday.

Quilt entry forms are available in libraries and banks and are also available online at

Sixteen vendors are signed up for the Sac County Quilt-A-Fair. Vendor products include almost everything associated with quilting, from fabric and quilting tools to quilting machines and quilting services.

The Sac County Quilt-A-Fair begins at 9 a.m. each day. There will be a $5 admission to the quilt show, but other activities on the grounds are free, including a car show on Saturday and a tractor show on Sunday. Owners can enter cars or tractors at 9 a.m. Saturday.
