An Iowa Central Dance Clinic with guest instructor Jared Fox will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Crimmins building, 1142 14th St. S.W.

Fox is a professional choreographer and dancer.

Iowa Central's dance team coach Cassidy O'Brion said the clinic is open to all dancers. Anyone younger than 18, however, must have the signature of a parent or guardian.

Registration is $20. Lunch break is noon to 1 p.m.

The purpose of the Iowa Central Dance Team clinic is to inspire younger dancers, O'Brion said. "The older dancers gain more experience in areas to help them become part of a high school or college dance team" and to increase their current dance skills.

Fox began his dance training at 10 years old at Hollingsworth School of Dance and Gymnastics under the direction of Sandra Hollingsworth. After graduation, he went on to train with some of the top professionals in the industry, and for the past two years he has traveled North America working full time for and assisting celebrity dance competitions.

Since moving to Los Angeles a year ago, his choreography has been recognized at dance competitions as being quirky and original, and his classes are the same - high energy and challenging.
