Individuals interested in running for Fort Dodge City Council must have their nomination papers filed with the city clerk's office by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Ward offices up for election are Wards 1, 2, 3, 4 and a council at-large position.
For more information on filing rules visit the Fort Dodge city website at www.fortdodgeiowa.org, underneath the Departments tab click on City Council, then click on City Election packet 2011.
If necessary, primary elections will be held Oct. 11, and the election will take place Nov. 8.
