A benefit, Staying Tough for Talaysia, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Ballroom, 1018 First Ave. N.

Tayalsia Culver, the daughter of Keli and Joseph Culver, and granddaughter of Jackie and Ben Newton, of Fort Dodge, has been referred to St. Jude's Hospital in Tennessee, following the discovery of a brain tumor in July. She is 14 months old.

A CT scan at Blank Children's Hospital showed tumors were spreading throughout her body.

The benefit will begin at 5 p.m. on the third floor. Admission is by the purchase of $10 buttons, which will be sold in advance and at the door. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.

A live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. The evening will also include live entertainment, door prizes, raffles, food and a cash bar.

Monetary donations may be sent to the Talaysia Culver Fund, Citizens Community Credit Union, 2012 First Ave. S., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
