The season membership drive is now under way for the Fort Dodge Area Symphony's 62nd season.
The theme, "Welcome Back Our Treasures," features soloists who have a Fort Dodge area connection. Another change will be guest conductors for each concert.
The first concert will be directed by Ross Leeper, a former conductor when he was teaching at Eagle Grove High School.
Other conductors include Michael Golemo, director of bands and chair of the Department of Music and Theatre at Iowa State University at Ames; Brett Cooper, of Fort Dodge; and Dennis Root, of Mason City, a past guest conductor.
Concerts are all on Sunday afternoons at Phillips Middle School Auditorium.
Opening concert will be Oct. 16, with Michelle Havlik-Jergens, piano soloist. Other concert dates are Holiday Favorites, Dec. 4, with Jocelyn Ascherl, vocal soloist; Symphonic Stories on March 4 with Laura Cooper, cello soloist; and the Young Artists concert on April 22.
Memberships offer a savings for the four concerts. Season memberships are adult, $35, and family, $60. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $6 for students.
Memberships may be ordered by sending a check to Membership Chairman, 522 N. Third St., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
