A Gowrie woman will benefit from a pork loin dinner, a silent auction, kids games and a performance by the Sonshine Singers, along with other activities between 4 to 7 p.m. today at First Evangelical Free Church, 3058 10th Ave. N.
Sandy Swensen Brandow is fighting blood and bone cancer. To help the family with its money problems, the benefit was established and an account has been set up. Donations may be sent to the Sandy Brandow Benefit Account, First Federal Bank, 825 Central Ave., Fort Dodge, IA 50501.
A pork loin dinner will be 4 to 6:30 p.m., with a silent auction 4 to 6 p.m. and kids' games from 4 to 7 p.m., with free cotton candy and prizes. Auction winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m.
The Sonshine Singers will perform at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary, and Ace and Friends will provide dinner music.
Modern Woodmen of America is matching funds up to $2,500. All proceeds will be used by the family for unmet medical expenses.
