The Rev. D.C. Darensbourg was installed at Second Baptist Church in a Friday night service.
A meet-and-greet for Darensbourg and his family will be 1 to 3 p.m. today in Spencer Hall at the church, 1827 Fourth Ave. S. Dessert will be served.
Morning worship will be 11 a.m. Sunday, with Dr. Rogers Kirk, president of the Iowa Education and Missionary Baptist Convention, bringing the message. D. Damian Epps, general secretary of the Iowa Education and Missionary Baptist State Convention, will deliver the message at the 5 p.m. service.
