MidAmerican Energy Company has made its semiannual property tax payments for the 2011-2012 year to Iowa counties, schools and cities.
The payment makes Mid-American the largest property tax-paying entity in Iowa, according to a company press release.
Payments for 2011-2012 set to be made to counties in the region include:
Calhoun: $456,163
Hamilton: $733,887
Humboldt: $374, 694
Kossuth: $56,823
Palo Alto: $157,756
Pocahontas: $1,287,753
Sac: $1,232,643
Webster: $2,428,460
Wright: $700,076
