PARKERSBURG - For the second straight postseason the Eagle Grove football team ran into a buzzsaw in No. 5 Aplington-Parkersburg on Wednesday night.
Playing in their fifth consecutive postseason, the Eagles (5-5 overall) couldn't stop the Falcons (9-1), dropping a 51-13 contest.
Cody Helmick caught a seven-yard touchdown from Jake Wilde and Logan Wieth scored a rushing touchdown for the Eagles.
Wieth led the ground game with 97 yards on 12 carries.
Alex Underberg had 13 carries for 73 yards.
Oscar Hernandez recovered a fumble for Eagle Grove.
Aplington-Parkersburg had 469 yards rushing on the night.
