SAC CITY - New bridges that will carry four-lane U.S. Highway 20 over U.S. Highway 71 north of Early in Sac County will be built next year.
Dakin Schultz, a planner for the Iowa Department of Transportation, told the U.S. 20 Corridor Association Friday that a contract was awarded for the bridge work.
He said Graves Construction, of Spencer, was hired to do the work for $1.524 million.
The project will start by April and should be done by the end of 2012, he said.
