CHURDAN - The parish of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Churdan is observing 125 years since its establishment in 1886, and an open house celebrating that event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the church hall.
A short program will be presented at 3 p.m.. The public is welcome. The Rev. Donald Ries is the pastor of St. Columbkille, and he is the 22nd pastor to serve the parish in its 125-year history. The church building, dedicated in 1931, has had extensive improvements in recent years.
