Accident causes minor injuries
A midafternoon accident just outside Fort Dodge caused minor injuries.
According to the Webster County Sheriff's Department, the two-car accident happened at 3:30 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 20, in the direction of Moorland.
Deputies said the victims, whose names were not available, suffered only minor injuries.
The entire accident scene was cleaned up in less than an hour, with officials responding quickly to the scene.
The Moorland Fire Department also responded to the scene.
Self Serve Car Wash, Jackie Oberhelman and Derek J. Anderson each reported criminal mischief.
MidAmerican and Walter Wachter each reported a theft.
A person reported harassment.
Kenneth Miller reported a burglary.
Jeff Jones, Michael Ashman and Charlie King each reported a theft.
Tiffany Cole reported criminal mischief.
Violation of probation - Eric W. Gambill Jr., 18, 1428 Fourth Ave. N., sent to District Court.
Fifth-degree theft - Michael A. Neal, 20, 1316 Second Ave. S., trial set for Jan. 13; Lucas R. Breeden, 19, 1616 14th Ave. S.W., 30 days suspended and $320.
Operating while intoxicated, first offense - Leslie J. Fanning, 22, 1517 11th Ave. S.W., sent to District Court.
Public intoxication - Paula A. Randall, 58, 311 S. 19th St., $195.
Failure to pay registration fee - Krystal A. Brown, 23, 1625 N. 26th St., $147.75.
Failure to have registration and headlights - Lyle D. Fredericks, 25, Ames, trial set for Jan. 5.
No valid driver's license - Corey W. Grossnickle, 31, Webster City, case dismissed, fined $60 in court costs.
