The city of Barnum has a boil order in effect until Thursday. Residents are urged to boil water before consumption.
The city experienced an outage with the main well, and is currently running on the backup well, therefore has prompted the boil order as a precautionary measure to satisfy Iowa Department of Natural Resources regulations.
Repairs for the main well are scheduled for this week
