EG man charged in Humboldt robbery
HUMBOLDT - Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an overnight robbery at a Humboldt Kum & Go.
According to a statement from the Humboldt Police Department, Ernest Ganzeveld, 44, of Eagle Grove, is accused of robbing the Humboldt Kum & Go shortly after midnight on Jan. 5. After police received the call about the robbery, an officer pulled over Ganzeveld, who was spotted leaving the scene. Ganzeveld was released after being questioned, but was later arrested in Fort Dodge after police developed more information.
According to police, Ganzeveld acted alone.
Ganzeveld has been charged with first-degree robbery, and is being held in jail on $25,000 bond.
No information on upcoming court appearances was available.
