CLEAR LAKE - The St. Edmond boys dropped an overtime North Central Conference contest to Clear Lake Friday night, 61-53.
The Lions fought back to tie the game in the fourth before outscoring the Gaels (13-6 overall, 11-5 in league) by a 13-5 count in the extra session.
Sophomore Robby Burke led St. Edmond with 15 points, while Nick Clark and Neil Flattery each added 13.
Clark moved within six points of tying John Engler for the school's all-time scoring record. The senior now has 1,264 points in his career; Engler, who is currently at Briar Cliff University, finished with 1,270.
Ozzie Adams connected on six three-pointers and scored a game-high 22 to lead the Lions (9-8, 9-6). Chase Crosby added nine, as Clear Lake earned a split with St. Edmond this year after falling in Fort Dodge, 59-41.
The Gaels return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Clarion-Goldfield. St. Edmond is next in action at home on Thursday, hosting Eagle Grove.
