Founder’s Day at Coppin Chapel AME

Coppin Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church will celebrate the founding of the denomination by Bishop Richard Allen in Philadelphia in 1787. The program which starts with dinner will start at 6 p.m. March 17 at the Hanson Center (cafeteria) at Iowa Central Community College.

The speaker for the program will be Charles Hallman of Minneapolis, Minn. He is an elementary school teacher and basketball coach at South High School, of Minneapolis. Music will be provided by the Male Chorus of Payne AME Church, of Waterloo.
