AMES - The Fort Dodge girls track team competed at the Iowa State Classic on Monday.
Lexi Astor led the way for the Dodgers with a 14th-place effort out of 86 participants in the long jump (15-2).
Competing as well for FDSH was Tiana Mericle in the 60-meter dash (8.32), the 4x100 of Drew Washington, Teana Espinoza, Astor and Mericle (27th, 54.95), the sprint medley of Astor, Lani Van Zyl, Mericle and Nicole Cook (30th, 2:02.20) and the 4x400 of Van Zyl, Katia Frana, Carson Jarrard and Astor (4:37).
Next action for the Dodgers is March 29 at the Boone Outdoor meet.
