To the editor:
Four years ago my career led my wife, Cindy, and I to be relocated to the Des Moines metro area. Work has me traveling throughout Iowa and bordering states. To this day whenever I am asked, "Where are you from?" my response is always "Fort Dodge," and I live in Clive. I am proud to hail from Dodge. We receive The Messenger by mail, keeping up on local news.
I feel compelled to share an observation concerning my visits to many other communities. Arterial roads are very important to out of town guests. They show the progressiveness of a town and make driving through the area enjoyable. The crosstown connector is a very good idea. We will send a check, to help with the private donations, for this worthwhile project.
