WEBSTER CITY - The fifth annual Easter Eggstravaganza will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Children, parents and grandparents are encouraged to stop by the commons area at the Assisted Living Apartments, 2414 Des Moines Street.

There is no charge for the event. Refreshments will be provided. There will be an Easter bake sale with proceeds going to resident activities.

New this year are two Easter egg hunts, one at 10:30 a.m. for the 1-4 year olds and another at 11:30 a.m. for the 5-8 year olds.

Children can meet the bunny and pose for a photo. Adults are urged to bring their cameras.

4-H members will be displaying their tame rabbits, including one that walks with a leash. McMurray Hatchery will be donating 1- day old, fluffy chicks. There will be an Easter craft for the children to make and take home.

According to Marilyn Middleton, marketing coordinator, the 2011 event attracted more than 300 participants.
