To the editor:
Thanks to the generosity of so many people, yellow daffodils brightened homes and businesses throughout Webster County and lifted the spirits of cancer patients - both young and old - with your gifts of daffodils and stuffed bears.
Thank you to our sponsors - Drs. Eric and Carey Bligard, Friendship Haven, Cancer Center at Trinity Regional Medical Center, CSBank, Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services and Tea Thyme - and to our sales coordinators and sales people, including those that sold at our satellite locations, Fareway and Iowa Central Community College. The Master Gardeners and PICA volunteers were so generous in their donation of time and talent in support of this cause, and Jeff Becker at Becker Florists donated greenery that added to the beauty of our Sunshine Bouquets and Gifts of Hope. Our media outlets - print and radio - saturated our area with messages of our campaign and we are so appreciative of their efforts.
Cancer is a scary word and it changes the lives of everyone touched by it. We truly want to see a world with less cancer and more birthdays and your contribution helps the American Cancer Society work toward that goal.
