WAUKEE - Lexi Astor claimed the long jump title at the Waukee Invitational to lead the Fort Dodge girls track team Thursday night.
Astor used a jump of 16-8.75 to earn the victory.
Waukee won the overall team title, while the Dodgers placed seventh.
Tianna Mericle added fifth place showings in both the 200 (28.62) and 400 (1:05.22), while Maddie Bodholdt was fifth in the 3000 (12:01.43).
Sam Lennon contributed a sixth in the 3000, as well, finishing in 12:13.75, while the FDSH sprint medley of Drew Washington, Mericle, Astor and Nicole Cook placed fifth in 2:04.33.
The Dodger 4x100 relay of Astor, Mericle, Breonnah Al-Hammed-Foy and Washington finished fifth in 55.03.
Bryanne Kasperbauer led the Fort Dodge junior varsity with a first in the 400 hurdles (1:14.72) and a third in the long jump (13-1). Amber Habhab was fourth in the 1500 (6:09.52).
The Dodger JV 4x800 was third, while the 4x200 was fourth. Habhab, Sydney Crotts, Sarah Rethwisch and Victoria Raile ran the 4x800, and Carson Jarrard, Al-Hammed-Foy, Teana Espinoza and Katie Frana completed the 4x200.
Fort Dodge returns to action on Tuesday at Cedar Falls before hosting the Dodger Relays next Thursday.
