Woman charged of stealing by employer
A Fort Dodge woman has been arrested and is now facing felony charges after she allegedly stole from her employer.
Jill Ayersman, 21, has been charged with second-degree theft and four counts of forgery of ticket shares.
According to the criminal complaint filed with the Webster County attorney's office, Ayersman, over a four month period, stole lottery tickets from Hy-Vee, where she worked. Ayersman is accused of cashing in four stolen lottery tickets that totaled $475.
When officers searched Ayersman's home, they allegedly found unlabled prescription pills in her room. In the complaint, it was stated that Ayersman didn't know who the prescription belonged to.
As a result of that search, she was also charged with possession of unlabled prescription drugs.
During her appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Tuesday, Magistrate Bruce Cornell released Ayersman with supervision to the Department of Corrections.
Her case was sent to Webster County District Court for scheduling.
