SE boys dominate

IOWA FALLS - The St. Edmond boys tennis team kept their perfect season intact Tuesday night, blanking Iowa Falls-Alden in a 9-0 decision.

Earning singles wins for the Gaels (5-0 overall) were Aaron Chalstrom, John Eide, Konrad Laufersweiler, Ben Albright, Jimmy Averill and Zach Gailey.

In doubles competiton, the duos of Eide and Albright, Averill and Laufersweiler and Gailey and Patrick Hancock all prevailed as well for St. Edmond.

"I thought Ben Albright played very well, and it's nice to see all our freshmen show progress," said SEHS head coach Jacob Short. "We're starting to play better tennis as we get ready for our end of the year run."

Hancock also contributed a singles junior varsity victory for the Gaels.

St. Edmond travels to Carroll Kuemper on Thursday for a 4 p.m. start time.
