Motorcycle, car are involved in accident
Callender -_One woman was injured after her motorcycle and a car collided on a road in Callender Wednesday afternoon.
According to the accident report from the Iowa State Patrol, around 2:50 p.m. a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Linda McDermott, of Livermore, was traveling north when it crossed the center line on Fairbanks Avenue, near the 280th Street intersection.
McDermott, according to the report, collided with a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Rachael Claussen-Foster, of Otho.
Claussen-Foster was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center, but the extent of her injuries is not known.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident. They were helped on scene by the Webster County Sheriff's Department and the Callender Fire Department.
Violation of pre-trial release - John Ort, 18, 3102 N. 15th St., sent to District Court.
Violation of parole - Demetre Brookshire, 41, 316 S. Sixth St., sent to Parole Board.
Possession of marijuana - Jeffrey Tracy, 29, 1718 Second Ave. S., preliminary hearing set for May 11.
Public intoxication - Glen Blunk, 63, 2826 160th St., $195.
Third-degree theft - Nicholas Newkirk, 22, 626 N. 23rd St., sent to District Court.
Driving while barred, habitual - Shanda Konvalinka, 27, Moorland, sent to District Court.
Failure to appear - Wendy Fiferlick, 38, 138 Avenue C, hearing set for May 17.
Failure to stop within safe distance - Dennis Grandinetti, 16, 826 Sixth Ave. N., $195.
Forgery - Mitchell Nordine, 24, Spirit Lake, sent to District Court.
Fifth-degree theft - Mitchell Nordine, 24, Spirit Lake, continued 180 days.
No insurance - Wilbert McDonald, 39, 2206 S. 14th St., case dismissed, fined $60 in court costs.
