FD man gets federal prison, drug charge

A Fort Dodge man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug charges.

Wade C. Heiden, 46, had pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to possessing with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

He was sentenced to 120 months in prison on Tuesday.

According to prosecutors, Heiden had individually wrapped methamphetamine with him, which he was intending to give to others.

Heiden was convicted of a felony drug offense in June 2004 in Webster County.

In addition to his sentence, Heiden must also serve six years of supervised release once he gets out of prison.

He is in the United States marshal's custody until he can be sent to prison.
